Historically, Ukraine and Russia are countries that are closely related. They have a lot in common, not only in cultural heritage. Many Russians and Ukrainians are just relatives. So, they will inevitably want to contact at least by phone or even visit each other. And, as a result, it is very important for them to know how to call from Ukraine to Russia.
First of all, you need to understand the rules for dialing international calls. As you know, each country has its own international dialing code. For Russia, this is "7". In order to call from a
landline phone from Ukraine to Russia, you need to start dialing any number from 007. Then, if the call is made to the
city number, dial the city code and the number itself, and if it is to the federal federal number, then immediately the number is dialed after 007 in Russia.
Now all that remains is to choose the method of how to call Russia. For locals, of course, the easiest way is to call from your landline or mobile phone. But for the convenience you have to fork out. The cost of one minute of conversation will be about 10-12 rubles from home and about 30 rubles from mobile (non-special tariff). You can also use the IP-telephony services, in which case the call will cost a little cheaper - about 7-8 rubles per minute.
But all these options are not suitable for those who come to Ukraine to relax and have no relatives or close friends there. True, with the development
of the mobile communications market, many of them come with their phones. And usually they don’t even wonder how to call from Ukraine to Russia. They do this from their mobile phone, but the cost of such calls is considerable. One minute of conversation will cost from 16 to 103 rubles, depending on the operator. Many offer special discounts on such calls, but in this case, you can’t save much.
But not everyone knows how to call from Ukraine to Russia, and even not spend too much money. The easiest way to do this is to call from a local payphone or go to a call center. Despite the fact that in the modern world this option seems archaic, the cost of the call will differ significantly and amount to no more than 5-6 rubles per minute. Cards for such a payphone can be purchased at almost any store at the cash desk, at the post office, and, of course, at call points. Just do not take them with you, as these are simply resellers, and their corresponding cards will cost significantly more. In addition, the more minutes a card is purchased, the cheaper the one minute conversation will be.

True, local mobile operators, realizing what a "gold mine" is, offer their own way to call Russia from Ukraine. Almost at every corner, especially at popular resorts and train stations, various agents offer to purchase special tourist SIM cards without registration. Indeed, the cost of calls with such a SIM card will be no more than 3-4 rubles per minute. In addition, it will be possible to send SMS from the phone and use the Internet also at preferential rates.
And of course, if you have a computer with you, and Skype is installed on it, you can call in this way. Fortunately, in many Ukrainian cafes and hotels Wi-Fi access is free. So, you don’t have to think about how to call from Ukraine to Russia. Moreover, Skype gives you the opportunity to call for free if you do this inside the application.
Each of the ways to make a call to Russia from Ukraine has its advantages and disadvantages. It all depends on the specific situation and the capabilities of the one who wants to call his relatives in Russia.
