Many people call this resource another Instagram clone that is not destined to become popular. And although it sounds pretty rude, it’s absolutely true. Despite the fact that the application is already about 2 years old, almost no one knows about it, and those who decided to install it on a smartphone did it for the sake of curiosity.

Although it is unlikely that someone without advertising integration will begin to use such software, while there is already a famous and well-known project.
Now the version "2.0" is known, which was released immediately after the release of the first version, which turned out to be extremely unsuccessful. But it is worth noting that the updated Snapster was several times better than the previous one. He easily copes with the tasks, namely, editing and publishing photographs.

The release of the application took place in 2015. In August 2015, the first version was released to the App Store. For a whole year the program received updates and fixes, and in the summer of 2016 version 2.2.0 was introduced.
In 2016, Snapster was in the top of the best Russian applications for Android, but the next year the latest version of the program appeared on Google Play, and the developers announced the closure of the project.

In your personal room you can set only your own pictures, which once again reminds us of an Instagram account. Anything can happen in public rooms. Anyone can access them, and communication is unlimited here. In private rooms you can gather a group of close people with whom it is easiest to share plans and share photos for a narrow circle.
Popular rooms
Interestingly, Snapster is a social network that was never able to gather its audience. And although it has been downloaded more than 1 million times, you are unlikely to find your friends there. After the introduction of the rooms, it became interesting who "dwells" there.
It turned out that in addition to the VKontakte employees and Mikhail Galustyan, no one used this function.
New versions
As already mentioned, the release of Snapster 2.0 has become a global update. This version allowed creating public and private rooms, launched the “Share with ...” function, and also made it possible to subscribe to other accounts.
Already the next update improved the algorithm of the rooms in Snapster, as well as innovations touched the interface and stability of the program. In version 2.1.0, the design of profiles was updated, the addresses of the rooms appeared, and Snapster connected with Vkontakte, which allowed inviting friends from the social network to the rooms.
In update 2.2.0, the changes mainly related to fixing application errors. We also worked on the design again, regrouped some elements and added convenient tools.
But since the closure of the project was announced in September 2017, and many never found out anything about the Snapster VK, version 3.0 was released, which lost any social functions and turned into a regular ordinary photo editor.

The fact that Snapster is a failed project, the developers did not think. But now it’s not easy to say what went wrong. However, the program is still available on Google Play. It can be downloaded and installed on your smartphone for free.
It has a nice and simple interface. Some points seem more convenient than in the famous Instagram.
For example, the latest pictures taken on the phone are immediately available on the screen, so no extra transitions are needed. You can immediately start editing.
Also in the application there are many opportunities for editing photos. In this case, it is somewhat reminiscent of the popular Snapseed program. In addition to the usual filters, the user can fine tune the image. By the way, the filters themselves have also changed here, so they can distract from the already boring options from Instagram.
Under the filters there is an icon for advanced photo editing. Here you can adjust the brightness, contrast, saturation and attenuation. There is a line “Improvement”, which automatically adjusts all the parameters of the photo.
Nearby is the curves icon. Here you can align the color scheme for the overall indicator, as well as for each color.
Together with the correction of the curves, you can find photo editing for each color. This setting is very subtle, but in some cases useful. Choosing a specific hue in the photo, you can change its saturation, brightness, threshold and softening.
This photo editor provides more opportunities for improving images than Instagram, but it does not scare the user with a lot of settings, like more advanced applications and the mobile version of Adobe Photoshop.
