Philosophical thoughts and sayings: a storehouse of practical wisdom

Philosophical thoughts are not unique to recognized and outstanding thinkers and scientists. We can draw them from fiction. But, as a matter of fact, there is still no single opinion among researchers about what “love of wisdom” itself is and what it is closer to - science or culture. Indeed, this area of human reflection does not give us exact formulas, and if it describes the world, it basically tries to find some kind of global connections between phenomena and objects, and not the laws of specific systems. But when it comes to the practical problems of human life, in this regard, it can give one hundred points ahead of any science.

Philosophical thoughts often prompt people to think about who they are. After all, others will understand us better if we know ourselves. Such thoughts tell people answers to painful questions - is it possible to accept loneliness, how to recognize good and evil in this changing, transient and to some extent illusory universe. They warn us about the deceitfulness of the external, about what insidiousness can be hidden behind a decent view, and what treasures can be found among seemingly weeds and garbage, if you look persistently. Poets, writers, writers and theologians of all time have tried to determine what dignity, kindness, courage, resentment, prudence, and how they relate to each other.

Philosophical thoughts often raise the problem of love and jealousy, life and death. They describe the vanity and at the same time the beauty of human existence, comparing it with grass, sloping from the slightest wind and subject to death. They call egoism and a desire to control others a telescope that exaggerates any suspicion, and the truth is like an oil that floats on top of any lying water, no matter how much it is poured. Eternal values and our confidence in their truthfulness are also the result of the thoughts of wise people. Sometimes philosophical thoughts console us, saying that death and time heal any pain, sometimes they call for patience and the ability to wait, and sometimes they offer us a model of how a person should be.

Happiness, the ability to earn it and use it, too, have repeatedly become the topic of reasoning and apt statements. Doesn’t one make good friends who first of all demonstrates the ability to communicate and love? Is he who has not noticed the joys provided by life entitled to complain and whine when they pass, and he finally realizes that he has lost? Philosophical thoughts teach us to distinguish between genuine and fake, and smart from stupid, and not spend a lot of time and nerves on people in the latter category. They advise us to do and speak on time and at our time, and not aimlessly and not thinking about the consequences. They suggest not to lose optimism in any situation, because there can always be a door for an exit. And at the same time they warn that death is inevitable and cannot be corrected.

But even with the inexorability of the end, far from all philosophical sayings make us peaceful . After all, it may be that our life is only a dream. Sometimes we dream of sweet dreams, sometimes nightmares, but there will come a time when we finally wake up. And then we will see the real, genuine being. And if we are still feeling bad, then the end of this illusory vision has not yet arrived.

But is there anything true in this sublunar world? Yes, many thinkers tell us. This is Love. She can save the world, she can move the sun and the stars, she makes people closer and makes them forget about alienation. It gives a person the opportunity to be sincere and utter aloud even the most secret thoughts, without fear of the presence of a loved one.

It is sometimes said that the main features of Russian philosophy are the ability to see the unity that exists between religion, the science of wisdom, poetry and literature. Not without reason, despite the diversity of views and the opposition of positions, including political ones, many domestic writers, art critics and theologians almost simultaneously gave us a storehouse of ideas and statements that modern culture still focuses on, including the Western European paradigm. Dostoevsky showed the world the depths of the fall of the human soul and at the same time its ability to rise from the very bowels of evil. Tolstoy reinterpreted the concept of what Christian values and ideals are. Berdyaev tried to combine personal experience and moral aspects of righteousness. Be that as it may, these thoughts and traditions have become part of the global treasury of culture.
