At present, fishing for spinning gear is simply inconceivable without inertialess reels. Not only spinning rods are equipped with them, but also donks, and even float rods. These coils are different from other fixed spools. It does not rotate either when throwing gear, or when fishing, that is, rewinding the fishing line. This tackle makes it so popular, in contrast to the inertial reel, of course, the complete exclusion of such an unpleasant and problematic phenomenon as the formation of a "beard", that is, tangling of fishing line. At the moment, almost all models of inertialess reels are rightfully considered the ideal option for spinning and feeder gear. They can be divided into three types:
- open (with unprotected spool);
- half-closed;
- closed (the spool is protected by a cap).
This type of reel is especially suitable for inexperienced anglers. Due to the fact that they are light in weight and small in size, they are easy to use, without experiencing any difficulties both when casting bait and when fishing for fish. They are designed in such a way that you can safely throw both spinners and feeders of completely different weight categories. Of course, for many novice anglers it may seem that this type of reel is too complicated, because you have to use your left hand when winding the fishing line. But you get used to it very quickly, it’s enough to practice a few times. In more expensive models of inertialess reels, there is a low level of wear of parts and minimal friction of the fishing line during casting. Therefore, buying this tackle is not worth saving.
The device of the
inertialess coil is quite complex, so it does not make sense to go into its details. It is better to consider in more detail the principle of work. When casting, the line wound on the spool should calmly run over its edge. At the same time, it is guided by the pass ring closest to the rod. Friction at this moment about the spool is practically absent. It is important that when winding, the line used must lie flat. Some coils have special gaskets for this.
Most high-quality inertialess reels have modern spools designed to wind approximately 90 meters of fishing line. There is no need for the above gaskets. At the beginning of the winding, it is necessary to return the handle of the fishing line to its original position. The line wound around the spool is adjusted using the guide located on the bow. This design greatly simplifies the process of casting at any distance, while minimizing the likelihood of tangling fishing line. To summarize, it is safe to say that the main advantage of modern coils is ease of use.
Well, now a little about the shortcomings that are endowed with inertialess coils. Price and quality here clearly correspond to each other. The more expensive the tackle, the longer its life, the possibility of high-quality long casts. It will also affect the process of catching large trophies from a reservoir. Therefore, the quality of the tackle largely determines the success of all fishing.
