History
Krasnodar Airport (Pashkovsky) was founded in the Soviet period in 1932 as an air base. Subsequently, it was reorganized into the Pashkovsky squadron, and in 1934 passenger flights began to be operated.
During the Second World War, aircraft of the Krasnodar airline company transported fuel, ammunition to the front, evacuated people.
The first concrete runway was built by 1960. At the same time, the construction of the airport complex was completed. In 1984, a new concrete runway was built.
In 1993, the Krasnodar detachment was transformed into OJSC Kuban Airlines. The department of this enterprise was both the airport itself and the airline. However, 13 years later, the company split into two organizations - the Kuban Airlines and the Krasnodar International Airport.
