Same-Sex Marriages in Russia and Abroad

It's no secret that same-sex marriage is a concept that occurs more and more every year. Today, in some countries, people with a heterosexual orientation can marry each other, and legally.

This society used to be ashamed of the fact that people tend to love and show sympathy not to the opposite sex at all. But now such a stereotype has collapsed, everyone has long been accustomed to the fact that man is a mysterious creature and, in some way, an extraordinary one. All inhabitants of the Earth are not alike; for some men, loving a woman seems the most beautiful of all. But other males prefer their own kind. Same-sex marriage is a relationship between men or, conversely, between women, concluded by law. This is an alliance between people of the same sex.

Although same-sex marriages began only recently in various countries, people have been in so-called civil relations for a long time. For example, in Denmark, already in 1989, cohabitation of men and women began. In 1993, civil marriages were concluded in Norway, in 1995 - in Sweden. But only after 2009, people with a gay orientation could legally join the union.

If we talk about our country, same-sex marriages in Russia are not officially recognized and are not provided for by law. However, modern society is still arguing on this issue. In 2003, there was an attempt between the same-sex people to legitimize their relationship, after which there was even more discussion. In recognition of the fact that a union can be between a man and a woman, and between homosexuals, in 2005, a deputy of the parliamentary assembly and editor-in-chief of a well-known gay magazine entered into fictitious marriage . But after a couple of days, such a union was considered invalid, and a few weeks later the district court refused to appeal this action. In 2009, they again tried to register their marriage with a woman, but the result was also unsuccessful.

The most developed countries on this issue are Western and Northern Europe. And in many places, same-sex marriages may have the same prerogatives as ordinary traditional relationships. At present, there is a lot of controversy on this topic, but no one is safe from the fact that his child will be a “normal man” or “a weak woman who needs male support”. Man is an individual being, not like others; we have no right to decide that same-sex marriages are bad. In the end, whoever came up with the idea that a woman must love a man and vice versa, the stronger sex should marry the weak. Why does everything around change - science, technology and other areas of human activity are improving, but should there be no progress in relations between people? Of course, disputes regarding same-sex marriage will be ongoing.

In many countries, penalties are given for attempting to register marriages between persons of the same sex; this can be a minimal and serious punishment, life imprisonment, and even the death penalty.

But not all countries take the lives of same-sex people in love, in many places homosexuals can have full rights to enter a legal union. What are the conditions for marriage? Love, respect and desire, because these guides are the sources of a long and happy life. By the way, many scientists have proved that same-sex marriages are the best unions that are least likely to be divorced. In such families, children are born (adopted, adopted or nurtured by a surrogate mother), who differ in intelligence, ingenuity and are one step ahead in everything than children from ordinary marriage. So, Russia should weigh the pros and cons before making a controversial decision.
