Keeping up with all the innovations, even serious companies are not always easy, because you need to allocate funds for the update. Needless to say about ordinary users. With the advent of Windows 7, new, more advanced data formats have gradually spread. And if many have already got used to the DOCX and XLSX formats, there are still a large number of other new data formats, including XPS. It is with this document that we will deal with this article.
XPS file format is a format used to view, sign, save and protect documents. A document of this format is like a sheet of paper. And as it is impossible to change the contents of a regular sheet after printing, it will not work to change the contents of an XPS document after it is saved.

To be able to set permissions for XPS-format documents, you must install an account certificate that will allow you to connect to the rights management service. If the account was not connected to the control system and a certificate was not issued for it, when you try to change or add permission, you will see an error message on the computer monitor.
The XPS Viewer enables users to find words or phrases in an open XPS document. You can switch the search direction, select search settings, and also clear the current search. This program has other possibilities. To get to know them better, it's best to open the XPS document yourself in the viewer and carefully examine the menu.
